Meredith has a more active commercial rhythm, with stronger dining energy and a busier town-center feel.

Tuftonboro offers privacy, water, and space with less commercial activity.

Alton can offer value comparison, lake access, views, and variety. New Durham and Wakefield may appeal to buyers who want quieter settings, varied lakes, land, and more space.
